Young buyers now eyeing up Victoria Point’s stylish apartments with 40% already sold

Over 40% of the 216 luxury apartments at a prestigious new development in Ashford in Kent have been snapped up by eager buyers with completion not due until Autumn 2020.

Phase I of Victoria Point, the £55 million development by Elevate Property Group, is already sold out and property agents Savills report that Phase II is selling fast.

New photos just released of the newly-opened show apartment and progress on site at Victoria Point reveal the features and luxury specification that is proving so popular with buyers in this area of Kent.

Victoria Point offers a range of studios, one, two and three bedroom apartments with prices currently ranging from £142,500 to £355,000.

The majority of apartments have balconies or terraces, some with views over the landscaped gardens towards the Great Stour and Victoria Park, and it’s a potent mix that is appealing to both investors and owner occupiers alike.

Tom Bryant, Head of Residential Development Sales for Savills in the South East, said: “As we move closer to completion this autumn, we are beginning to see more owner occupiers, in particular young professionals, seeing the benefits of living at Victoria Point.

“This has been helped by the launch of two new show apartments, showcasing the high quality specification and generous size of the apartments. In addition, Victoria Point’s exemplary amenities, with the Super Lounge, concierge service and large courtyard garden, have resulted in increased demand from this particular demographic.

“The close proximity to the town centre and Ashford International railway station will mean there is likely to be a strong and continued tenant demand at the development.”

He added that a key driver for inquiries at Victoria Point to date has been the high speed rail link to London, making Ashford better connected than many areas of central London and at more affordable prices.

Ashford International, just 200 metres from Victoria Point, offers journeys as short as 36 minutes from London St Pancras by train and us less than two hours from Brussels and Paris by Eurostar.

David Hofton, sales and marketing director of Elevate Property Group, said: “Ashford’s excellent transport links, plus the ongoing regeneration of the area, make it a very attractive town to live in.

“During 2019, we saw the Ashford Designer Outlet expansion completed and the opening of Junction 10A on the M20, with continuing developments at Ashford College, Elwick Place and Connect 38 in the Ashford Commercial Quarter.

“With fast transport connections, plus millions of pounds of inward investment, a growing leisure and shopping offer and a vibrant culture, Ashford has an really excellent future ahead of it.

“Victoria Point, with Help to Buy available, is a real opportunity for young couples to get a start on the housing ladder – and what a way to start!”
