Elevate Property Group give green light on major Derby project

Elevate Property Group will finally be able to progress its long-awaited Liversage Street scheme to build 258 apartments in Derby.

Planning permission for both Phases 1 and 2 has now been granted. The first phase of the scheme will provide 94 apartments on the corner of John Street and Castleward Boulevard.

The second phase will include 164 apartments in a five and seven storey building on the adjacent site, currently a car park.

Elevate will offer a range of one, two and three bedroom and studio-style apartments across the 1.55 acre site which sits between Liversage Street and John Street.

The scheme has been designed by architects Corstorphine & Wright and planning advisers were Ridge & Partners.

As part of the full planning consent, Elevate Property Group will contribute to local educational projects as part of the agreed Section 106 payment.

Elevate first put forward proposals to develop the two adjoining plots of land in 2018. Liversage Street has been the location of a sawmill and an historic manufacturing and residential site that has seen successive changes during the past 200 years.

Liversage Street will be Elevate Property Group’s second major development in the East Midlands. The company is currently building 95 townhouses and apartment on the banks of the River Trent, to be followed by a further phase of 58 similar properties in Meadow Lane.

The commitment to build and create and support jobs in the city during the lifetime of the project has been welcomed by Marketing Derby.
