Assay Lofts sold out as buyers start to move in

Assay Lofts, Elevate Property Group’s luxury 32 apartment development in one of Birmingham’s hottest residential locations, has sold out.
And the first buyers are beginning to move into the Charlotte Street apartments which overlook St Paul’s Square in The Jewellery Quarter.
The £10 million project’s final sale completes what has been another outstanding success story for Elevate Property Group, which has its headquarters diagonally across St Paul’s Square.
In keeping with Elevate’s policy of encouraging local artists, the company has commissioned Belbroughton-based metal sculptor Paul Margetts, who undertook a traditional four year blacksmith’s apprenticeship before studying Art & Design at nearby Birmingham Polytechnic – now Birmingham City University.
He was commissioned by Elevate to produce something memorable that would become instantly recognisable and associated with Assay Lofts.
His metal sculpture (pictured), which draws on the “Peaky Blinders” TV series for inspiration, was craned into position over the weekend and now surveys St Paul’s Square.
Assay Lofts is Elevate Property Group’s fourth development in The Jewellery Quarter and its tenth in Birmingham.
Sales and marketing director David Hofton said the mix of one and two bedroom apartments plus duplexes with two bedrooms and two bathrooms had proved a winning formula across the board.
“Our buyers have ranged from professionals who work in the nearby financial quarter, to those buyers seeking a luxury apartment near the attractions of the city centre, to investors who increasingly recognise the quality of the product delivered by Elevate Property Group.
The site for Assay Lofts, on the corner of Charlotte Street and St Paul’s Square, became available on the former car park of the Assay Office, which had been based there from 1878 until a move to purpose-built offices in The Jewellery Quarter in 2015.
Elevate Property Group moved quickly to secure the site and instructed Nottingham building contractors nmcn to start work in 2018.
The first property sold was the development’s flagship apartment, a penthouse with a price tag of £595,000, which was reserved before construction even began.
Elevate Property Group is already known for its quality developments in Birmingham, including Concord House, Queensway House, St Paul’s House, Honduras Wharf and Tennant St Lofts, unique developments of townhouses, apartments and penthouses.
Other developments in Birmingham include a £13 million project in Cliveland Street in the Gun Quarter where Elevate Property Group is developing 52 one and two bedroom apartments overlooking the canal.
In Solihull, Elevate Property Group is developing the former HMRC offices in a £32 million project which will deliver 60 one and two bedroom apartments, plus a penthouse, and is already over 65% sold.
Elevate Property Group also has Trent Bridge Quays, a development of 95 townhouses and apartments on the banks of the River Trent in Nottingham, well underway with completion on track for October 2020.
And at Ashford in Kent, Elevate Property Group is developing 215 apartments in a £55 million project which is scheduled for completion in July 2020.
